Privacy policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This policy explains what information the Readyness website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Readyness is a brand of Legable ("we", "us"). It covers this website while Readyness is in its pre-launch phase. Before any Readyness product asks you to store information, we will update this policy to cover it, and you will see the new version first.
What we collect
Information you give us:
- Founding 500 and waitlist signups: your email address, the page you signed up from, the READY collection you picked (if you picked one), and your Readyness Check score if you chose to save it.
- Contact messages: your name, email address, the topic you chose and your message.
- Readyness Check answers: stored without your name, email or any other identifier, so we can learn in aggregate where people are least ready. They are not linked to your signup, even if you save your score.
Information collected automatically: like every website, our hosting provider receives technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested. It is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and tell real visitors apart from automated bots.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, documents, account numbers, Social Security numbers, health details or other sensitive information. The Readyness Check asks only whether you could find things, never what they say.
How we use it
- To send Founding 500 updates, Readyness challenges and launch news you signed up for.
- To reply to messages and handle requests you send us.
- To understand, in aggregate, which life moments matter most to people, so we build the right things.
- To keep the site secure and working, and to prevent abuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
Who helps us run the site
We share information only with service providers that run parts of the site for us, under contracts that limit their use of it to that job:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, the database that stores signups and messages, and bot protection (Turnstile) on our forms.
- An email service: when we start sending email, the provider we use will be listed here before the first send.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or social-media pixels. The bot check on our forms runs in your browser and may use technical signals to confirm you are a person; it is not used to track you across websites.
Because we don't track visitors across sites, we treat every visitor the same way whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal.
How long we keep it
- Signups stay on the list until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete them, or we close the list.
- Contact messages are kept as long as needed to answer them and to keep a record of requests we've handled.
- Anonymous check answers may be kept indefinitely, because they cannot be connected to you.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with access limited to the people who need it. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable care and collect as little as we can.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe at any time from the link in any email we send.
- See, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or get a copy of it.
Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with privacy laws), you may have these rights by law. We honour them for everyone, wherever you live. We will confirm the request comes from you, usually by replying to the email address involved, and you can use an authorized agent. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
To make a request, send a privacy request.
Children
This site is for adults. You must be at least 18 to join the Founding 500 or the waitlist. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Visitors outside the United States
Readyness is a US service. If you visit from elsewhere, your information is processed in the United States and by our providers' global network, where data-protection laws may differ from yours. You can ask us to access or delete your information at any time, as above.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
