Readyness by Legable provides organization and education tools. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal, financial, medical or tax advice.
Organization and education, not advice
Everything Readyness publishes, on this site and in its checklists, challenges, campaigns and products, is general information and organization tooling. It is the same for everyone and is not advice about your situation.
Readyness helps you see what you have, record where it is, and understand what information commonly comes up during life's moments. It does not tell you which documents you need, decide whether your documents are valid, current or enough, or make decisions for you.
No professional relationship
Using this site, the Readyness Check or any Readyness product does not create an attorney-client relationship, or a relationship with a financial, tax, insurance or medical professional, between you and Legable. Nothing you send us is treated as confidential professional communication.
Your Readyness Score
The Readyness Score measures how organized and findable your information is, based only on your own answers. A high score does not mean your affairs are in order legally or financially, and a low score does not mean anything is wrong.
Rules vary
Laws, requirements and deadlines differ from state to state and change over time. General information may not reflect the rules that apply to you, or the most recent ones.
When to ask a professional
If a question calls for judgement about your circumstances, whether legal, financial, medical, insurance or tax, a licensed professional in your state is the right person to ask. Many of the things Readyness helps you organize are exactly what's worth reviewing with one.
Not for emergencies
Readyness is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
